It all started with a little faith, some trust, and a little pixie dust.
I have always been a bit of a creative soul, always pondering what to do next. Always a dreamer. I was working corporate for most of my life, I was stuck in a job I did not like.
About 5 years ago I was standing on the edge and my amazing man pushed me over. He pushed me into a whirlwind of dreams, passion, reality, and I left corporate.
I joined a Facebook group and saw something called a Silhouette Cameo, right then I was hooked – line and sinker. I watched endless You-Tube videos and finally my awesome man bought me one. I remember the first shirt I ever made; I was so nervous. Looking back now it was the easiest thing I ever did.
That is when I fell in love with making tops, vinyl, sublimation, and flock.
Then we went to a craft expo and we met a lovely lady called Jennifer. Jennifer changed things for me. We emailed Jennifer and she offered us a laser machine. We jumped at the opportunity. After 28 days at sea, our ship came in and the machine arrived safely in Durban.
Our awesome shipping agents arranged delivery to our gate. What a moment when I saw that truck pull up. The funny thing was we got it to the gate, now to get into the house. After 4 men pushing and shoving this 400 KG machine it landed in the right place.
I stared at this machine. I had never operated one. Had no clue how to switch it on here came YOUTUBE and some faith.
